Is the Ergohuman 2 Elite the latest model?
The Ergohuman 2 Elite was launched in 2023 and is a development of the original Elite.
The original Elite was launched in 2010 and has been through 2 revisions. The original Elite was sold between 2010 an 2022 and became known as the V2.
In 2023 the Ergohuman 2 Elite was launched as the first complete re-design since 2010. Now manufactured on an automated production line the Ergohuman 2 Elite has improved fit and finish and a modern look. Watch the assembly HERE
What fabrics are available on the Elite?
The most popular version of the Elite is the all Mesh chair. Mesh is ideal for an ergonomic chair as it provides good support, it breathes for coolness and is very durable.
We also offer a fabric/mesh combo with a fabric seat and a mesh backrest. This combines the softer texture of a fabric on the seat while retaining the benefits of the mesh on the backrest.
Can I retro fit a legrest to an Elite chair?
It is possible to retro fit a legrest on a Mesh chair. We stock the legrest in black and grey mesh which will work well with other colours. Installation is straight forward and you can view a Video here.
We do not recommend retro installation on a fabric seat as its more difficult to install the brackets.
What is the advantage of a cast aluminium frame?
The cast aluminium frame brings durability and a solid feeling to the chair. While it is more expensive than composite, it helps the chair achieve certification for heavy duty applications.
The Aluminium also looks great giving the chair a modern and premium aesthetic.
How long will an Elite chair last for?
An Ergohuman chair is designed and engineered to last at least 10 years of normal full time use. We offer a 5 year warranty for peace of mind.
The 5 year warranty does not cover 24 hour use or 3 shifts a day. For multi-shift work we pro-rata the warranty to the equivalent number of shifts.
Where is the Elite manufactured?
‘The Ergohuman range is manufactured in China in a ‘state of the art’ automated factory. The assembly is completed by robots to achieve a high quality fit and finish.
This makes an Ergohuman Chair one of the most technologically advanced office chairs on the market.
