Is the Ultra different to the Elite?
The Ergohuman 2 Ultra is based on the Elite and shares the same ergonomic functions, comfort and durability.
Both chairs have a cast aluminum backrest with the separate lumbar support. The Ultra chassis that houses the mechanism is made from moulded reinforced polymeric composite combining strength with lightness. This creates a lighter chair than the Elite.
The Ultra is certified to bodyweight of 120kg and is designed and built to last 10 years in full time use 8 hours per day.
What fabrics are available on the Ultra?
Vailable in all Mesh as well as a combo of Mesh on the back and fabric. You have a choice based on personal preferences. The Fabric has a softer seat while retaining the benefits of Mesh air flow on the back rest.
Both the Mesh and Combo are available in black and grey for a choice to suit your workspace.
The all black edition with a powder coated black aluminium frame, adds a smart choice for a Gaming set up or contemporary office.
Can I retro fit a legrest to an Ultra chair?
It is possible to retro fit a legrest on a Mesh chair and we stock the legrest in black. Installation is straight forward and you can view a Video here.
We do not recommend retro installation on a fabric seat as its more difficult to install the brackets.
What is the advantage of an aluminium frame with composite chassis?
The cast aluminium back rest ensures a rigid frame to support your body in the correct posture. With less flex than a plastic frame, the aluminium lends a sold and quality feel to the Ultra.
With a polymeric composite chassis, the Ultra is a good balance of a stiff frame while being lighter and easier to maneuver than the Elite.
How long will an Ultra chair last for?
An Ergohuman 2 Ultra is designed and engineered to last many years of normal full time use. We offer a 5 year warranty for peace of mind.
The 5 year warranty does not cover 24 hour use or 3 shifts a day. For multi-shift work we pro-rata the warranty to the equivalent number of shifts.
Where is the Ultra manufactured?
‘The Ergohuman Ultra range is manufactured in China in a ‘state of the art’ automated factory. The assembly is completed by robots to achieve a high quality fit and finish.
This makes an Ergohuman Ultra one of the most technologically advanced office chairs on the market.
