I have been using this chair for over two weeks, and its greatest advantage is the ability to adjust it to various positions to fit comfortably. Especially, the headrest, which I hadn't used before, has made a significant difference. When my head touches the headrest, I become more aware of maintaining proper posture, which has led to spending longer periods of time sitting in a more upright position.
The most useful feature is the armrest. In previous chairs without armrests, I had to lean forward or adjust my posture to place my elbows on the desk. However, with the adjustable armrests in this chair, I can keep my elbows on the armrests and only place my wrists on the desk keeping comfortable angle from elbow to wrist due to the vertically adjustable angle of the front part of the armrests, regardless of the height difference between the desk and the chair. This allows me to maintain a consistent distance between my upper body and the desk, as well as a natural distance from the computer screen.
I will discuss some points that need improvement:
1. The armrest has many adjustment levels, which is great. However, for the vertical height adjustment, there are too many small steps to accurately determine the optimal height, and each side should be individually adjustmented. The rotational adjustment of the armrest is appropriate, but it moves a bit too easily. This can lead to instances where adjusting my posture or accidentally pushing against the desk causes the armrest direction to change, requiring readjustment. The distance between the armrests is set to the narrowest, but it still feels a bit wide for me. In other words, my elbows end up positioned wider than the optimal location.
2. It would be beneficial if there were an additional level between the fully upright (level 0) and the next reclined position (level 1) for the backrest. Currently, level 1 feels slightly reclined back more than I need, and when I rest my wrists on the desk, it feels farther away from the screen than necessary. If I have level 0.5, it would be perfect angle.
3. Adjusting the height of the lumbar support was initially challenging, but I have managed to find a suitable position. Despite using it with maximum tension, I find it somewhat lacking for my needs. It would be great if the lumbar support could provide more pronounced support to the lower back. I also use a separate lumbar support in my car seat. Similar to headrest's role, the lumbar pushing my lower back will signal me to stretch my chest to reduce the pressure on the lower back.
4. While the headrest angle can be adjusted, fine-tuning the forward-backward position is limited. However, it's clear that the headrest plays a significant role in maintaining posture right.
So far, after two weeks of purchase, I 'm satisfied with the functions and the design. Also the sales person was nice providing useful information that helped me to decide to purchase.
